Would there be an easy way to make the power steering heavier? It's really overactive and it kind of annoys me, I've been driving euro cars quite alot...Cars getting new suspension and lowering, as well as a set of 17" AUIIXR's in the very near future, the wheels should help, but I have a feeling it'ss still be way too light...

take the belt off is all i can suggest

if it runs out of power steering fluid it becomes full manual as far as i know but im pretty sure this will do damage. If you increase the castor of the front wheels the steering will agin weight and your car will handle noticably better.

The EA rana seperate belt for the power steering, so you could just reomve it, but its almost undriveable at low speeds! Been there, done that. The other option is to put an XF power steering pulley on your original pump. This slows down the pump, and may decrease the pressure, and hence the effectiveness. Youll need to get a new belt though, one inch longer will be fine. I have an XF pump and pulley on mine, but theyre a matched pair, so maybe the valving within the pumps are different to make up for the speed difference? The only other thing you could do is to put a resistor in the pressure line to reduce line pressure.

Reducing the volume flow to the rack will starve it and f**k it.

It is a fully hydraulic system so it does not have any electrical parts.

You could possibly try and reduce the supply pressure but personally I would not recomend it. The pressure relief is in the outlet fitting on the pump. Unscrew the fitting and its behind there. Unscrew it apart and add more shims to reduce the spring pressure.

Best idea is to get a camber kit (Kmac) and dial in more castor.
