ok. i have connected the green/yellow to battery power thru the clock fuse ( seemed logical) the black to the dash earth,red/green to accessory power thru the instrument fuse and the blue/white to light switch. what i am getting is a working clock with a orange light when key is turned to on and the light goes out when lights are turned on. any more ideas or can someone see what i have done wrong?

Sounds like the clock power is actually switched from ignition? So maybe the constant power should be wired from another source? Or check that power is constnatly on for the clock even with ignition off?
