I want to change the bench seat in my XB ute, to 2 xb buckets.
Will they just bolt in or do i have to mod the brackets and what not? Also whats the legalities involved? do i need an engineers crt? cheers |

What if i was to install racing seats? would i take the bracket off the bench seat and put them on the new ones? or would i need to get new brackets made up?

if the xb is anything like the xw, then youll have to drill 2 holes either side of the tranny tunnel. this is to line up the most inner part of the bucket, a brace will have to along with this as well as an engineers cert. the bench seat has only four holes, buckets have eight.

As long as its a standard seat no certificate required, just use the standard parts, ford has alredy taken care of the engineering side of things
