Hey.

Got my new DBA rear rotors and EBC pads professionally fitted. But they are wearing funny. it's like the pads are too small, they are not touching the last 5mm outer diameter of the disk.
Is this normal?? The original brakes before this didn't do this. See picture below

The pads do look small in the pic, maybe you should ask the guy who fitted them or the pads could have a slight tapper from the edges. Other than that how do they feel

They feel great actually. Much better at low speed and normal driving than the Lucas pads I had on before. And MUCH less dust and wear.

I phoned the guy who installed. Apparently this is normal.

Yeah the work was done by Cam at Hi-Tech brakes.

Rear disks were $99 each (on special) new Dot 4 fluid for free. Front pads $110 rear $105, Front disk machine (were eaten by Lucas pads after 25,000Km) was $30, and labour front and rear $132

Ready to hit the track this weekend!

when I bought my car it was fitted with dba gold rotors on the front and stosk rotors on the rear, I have no idea what the pads are but when they are cold you to stand on the pedal to stop although once hot absolutely brilliant

Probably was running a decent performance pad....these high heat pads dont really shine until they are warmed....i noticed thqt with the EBC greens over bendix advance pads....when ya first start the car and go down the street the braking performance is halved.....but pump the pedal abit and do some slightly hard breaking straight away and almost then or a few mins later they pull up awesome
