A mate has an XF S pack with the digital fuel/ oil/ temp/ volt guages on the RHS of the cluster. All the digital guages have just gone blank. Is there any easy fix, or would it be better to throw in the GL cluster I have laying around?

Hi Smally

Not an unusual fault. Mine use to do it regularly and tapping it bought it back to life again. Take it out, you only need a phillips driver to remove the complete cluster. All the components plug in. I resoldered all the connections I could find on the module and put it all back together again and it has not missed a beat. Must have been a dry solder joint. By the way there was 3 complete clusters on e-bay last week that all went for about $30....Hey just looked and there are 2 on there at the moment with about 23 hours to go. $15 and $20. Keep the digital.

Steve

Checked all the solder joints (sent me cross eyed) and put it all back together. Back in the car and it works again. For how long I don't know.
