Hey guys, would the torque specs for the head bolts on a ED Sprint (GT40 heads), be the same as E7 heads? I have a EF/EL Manual, and i have the torque specs for them. But was wondering if the heads on this ed sprint would be different specs or not, or would they be the same as an AU v8 maybe?

Also, where would i get the torque specs for the Crane Rockers that it has on it?
They are Crane (Cobra) F3ZE-6529-AB 1.7's

I would assume the spec would be the same as EL2-AU3 V8's, as they're the same head/block combo.

EL2 had E7 heads so they probabably aren't the same specs as them.

I'd imagine they would be the same as the AU V8's or maybe even EL GT or FBT if you can find the specs

Basically all cast iron headed Windsors use the same torque specs, so yes whatever the EF/EL manual says should be fine. Not sure exactly what it specifies, but ford had an update and recommend 10ft/lb more on the longer bolts (intake side). Also make sure you are using new head bolts, I recommend ARP's along with their specified molly lube and thread selaer, then follow the specs supplied with the bolts and you will be set.

I used felpro bolts when I installed my GT40Ps, their torques where a tad higher than in my maintenance manual

Doesn't matter what heads they are..The head bolts are the same size, length etc..Max is 75 Ft/Lb long and 65 short... Its to do with bolts stretch ...

The info seems to be the same for the Std V8 (ref - EB/ED work shop manual)

Head bolts - Torque in 2 steps 1st 80nm, 2nd 95nm
Intake manifold to Cylinder head in 2 steps. 1st step 25nm and 2nd step 34nm
Rocker arm fulcrum bolt to cylinder head 30nm
Intake manifold upper to lower 20nm

Hope this helps. (also posted this on ff.com.au)
