Hi one and all
I have an XF ute that I recently converted to EFI using all the goodies out of an 87 Ghia sedan. At the moment my bus is running like s**t and using fuel like it's going out of fassion ($30.00 to go 61Ks). It has a 4.1 X flow which was rebuilt 10,000Ks ago with a mild cam fitted. Is there any way to clear the ECU? How do I get the fault codes and what are they? |

first step when an XF EFI is running like s**t and chewing through fuel is to look for vacuum leaks
the common culprits are: rocker cover dipstick oil filler cap

Hi interceptor, I asked for a mild cam when the motor was rebuilt. The motor was origionaly had a Carby untill I got my bright I did a pressure test on the motor and found no air leaks. Thanks for your reply |

Also check for vacuum leaks around things like the fitting for the brakes. You may also have problems with your injectors?

Thanks for your reply what do you mean when you say you did a "pressure test"? not a compression test i hope when i say check for vacuum leaks, fire the engine up, and carefully spray aerostart around areas like the rocker cover, intake manifold flanges and dipstick, etc, if the engine changes its note, you'll have found a leak
