Looking at fitting a Ford Racing 90mm Mass Air Flow meter.
I would like to fit the MAF to an XH (EL) 5.0lt. I believe I require an edit to perform this mod correctly but am unsure who can do this. I had a chiptorque chip installed some time ago, and whilst I wait to hear from chiptorque as to whether they would do this, I thought id put the feelers out and see how others have had the edit performed. FYI I am running standard 19# injectors, mild cam and head work, 3" exhaust and considering this particular MAF for use immediately and with progressive mods such as larger injectors, T/B, Stroker. With Thanks |

For the EL EEC's there really isn't that much. Email Pete at pie@icenet.com.au and see where he is up to on the Tweecer support for your EEC, you will need to provide the 4 digit EEC catch code which is on a sticker on the base of the EEC (something like 2DDA, 3DFA etc). This is the only decent and cheap solution, a chiptorque will work but everytime you do a mod and want the EEC reprogramed you have to send the chip back and pay the $100 programing fee. With the Tweecer you can just do it yourself.
If your EEC does not have enough tweecer support then I would hold off on the MAF swap until you do a decent amount of mods in one hit, and then get a chiptorque (you will need to supply them with the MAF transfer function if they don't already have it, PMl me and I can send it through to you if needed). |

EDXR8 has hit the nail on the head. The other way is to utilise a PROM maf which is designed to work with stock injectors and ECU.
