can the keyless remote pad have any effect on the ecu as all my idle probs seem to have occured since the battery in my remote went flat just thourght it might be a long shot

that would be a very long shot. I think you will have to look somewhere for your idle problems sorry

yeah, theres surely no way that could effect the ECU.

will just be coincidental that the idle went bad at the same time.

Unfortunately when two things go wrong at once, it seems quite logical that the are related in some way, but it is often not the case, and you can waste a lot of time, cause you are thinking on the wrong track.

changed battery anyway but i think i might have tracked it down to the tps ? i hope
