Hey lads,
Just a quick question. What tool (type and size, etc.) do I need to remove the wiper arms? Like most EF/ELs i have some loss of paint and I'd like to spray paint them. And if there is anything else I need to know about removing wiper arms, let me know. Thanks guys.

not 100% sure with ef/l but probably a phillips head screwdriver and a 13mm spanner

yer, i think its a 13 or 16mm socket you will need.
Either way, its a very easy job.

The alloy corrosion around the pivot points are common. EDIT: Don't mix the arms and covers up - D for driver, P for passenger . . . . .

go to your local k-mart tyre and auto and get them to loosen the nuts for you. they'll do it for nothing, go home and paint them and back to k-mart to have them tighten them again. just don't use them while they are loose.
i get many silly request like these on a daily basis. on friday a bloke came in and wanted his sunp plug loosened so he could change his oil, then asked if he would be right to leave it like that for a couple of weeks. i just laughed at him and sent him on his way with a loose sump plug. |
