Does anyone know what it's called, it's a curved triangular shape with three holes for the bolts.
I had an exhaust leak and that's the culprit and the fact that two of the bolts were loose Thanks Ben Last edited by Benji on Mon Feb 06, 2006 11:01 am, edited 1 time in total. |

Its called a gasket...
Most exhaust places will stock it.

Make sure you use some sealant - i forget what its called... Expands when heated up... I tried putting on some headers without it and it was a waste of time.

Dunno if it does,
But I was informed that using exhaust cement or any other sealant is a no no for the the exhaust nearer to the cat, as it interupts the 02 sensor (even if it is past it) if it leaks.... use 2 gaskets but I don't see how a 3 flange would cause a problem! so just replace it 2 flanges seem to like to expand in the middle!

All done, wen't to the local exhaust shop and they just gave me one . So it's all back together, I used gasket sealant but after reading that maybe I shouldn't have as the join is about 2 inches from my O2 sensor .
Oh well all sounds good again. Thanks Guys for the input Ben. |
