the first photo you showed was the low level coolant sensor, then the other two are of the coolant sensor for the ecu/ temp gauge. my ea and eb have two seperate sensors, but the ef has one (that i can see off the thermostat housing.
2quick sorry bout that stuff up before my bad, but the headlight wiring - relays flickering on and off can be the thermal relay thing which can get fairly hot if its on its way out (it looks like a small metal box with only two large gauge wires connecting through it) beneath the coolant tank reservoir. if the connections are bad on it the wires get frigging hot - burnt hands hot and it will cause the lights to turn on and off cos the bi metallic strip inside it bends when it gets hot etc. check that before you go ripping relays out (Y) i had this happen in both the ea and the ef falcon so it was a case of finding the thing cheers guys good luck he he

hmm... cheers guys.
I'm gona put my switch in this w/end for manually kicking the fans in.. will be good to be able to control them manually i reckon, turn em on b4 it gets hot, rather than the ECU reacting and turning them on after
