The last time I had a dyno run the guy said my AFR was all over the place and pretty low. Can my donk by Dyno Tuned to improve this or do I need to get a chip?

you can't 'tune' a stock ECU - you'd have to get an aftermarket ECU to do such! :)

What about the EEC tuner guys?

I thought that it was able to flash a E series as well...

depends on what $$$ you're prepared to spend!

$600 or so for a chiptorque chip - no dyno tuning

$450 or so for a unichip + ~$450 install & tune - dyno tuning

$1100+ for EMS Stinger/8860, Wolf 3D, Haltec etc - full tuning capabilities

give or take - theres a sticky in the ECU forum with reviews of the aftermarket options which is well worth a read

nope

Best way to go is to visit some local tuners and see what they use. Pretty much anything on the market works, some have a few more features than others, but in each price bracket they are very similar. Find out who tunes with what and how many $ they ask for it and go from there.

Aftermarket computers start from $1600 fitted and tuned (thats the cheapest I got quoted, ecu was an EMS stinger).

IMO, chiptorques are the best value for money by far.

Does the Apexi power FC work with NA engines? You can pick those up for about 950 second hand and they're awesome.

Yeah, it would work on NA motors... but it wont work on a ford. I maybe wrong here, but power fc is plug n play for the major jap cars
