Just got back from the Melbourne Motor Show! I must say I'm kinda disappointed! Not much new here besides a few stands. Honda disappointed me very dearly. Absolutely nothing to admire in the sports department bar Integra Type S which I've seen billions of times and S2000...which they kinda are draining.

--- TOYOTA AURION ---
I think this was the Car of the Show. FINALLY Toyota have moved away from being boring! This car looks absolutely fantastic IMO and should be another welcome opposition for the Falcon Six to crush :D

--- TERRITORY TURBO ---
It was only a matter of time. I think this thing looks AWESOME although it looks very similar to the normal Territory Ghia. Wouldv'e loved to see a Front Mount Intercooler :D...Could we be expecting a V8 Territory?

--- BF FALCON RANGE ---
It could just be me...but I don't think its THAT hard to tell the difference between BA and BF exterior wise. The front bumper looks different and the the tail lights are also different. But anyway...6 speed auto looks fantastic! Just sitting there playing with the gears makes me want one :D

--- BF FPV RANGE ---
Personally, I don't like the new bumper styling of the F6 270. Looks very weird. FINALLY the GT gets twins! I have always thought that the GT should have twin exhaust outlets...it just looks so much meaner! The new stripe design is also pretty good IMO.

BUT I think the power should have been upped. 290kW was great when HSV's range was just 260-285kW...but I don't feel comfortable with the whole HSV range being 297kW. I think the F6 should be 300kW and the 5.4 be 320kW+. FPV's power hasn't changed through 3 models now (BA, BA Mark II, BF) and I think its over due.

--- NEW FORD COLOR "FANTASY" ---
I really like this color. It looked fantastic on the XR8 and even better on camera :D This color is a pearl between Phantom?? (Purple) and deep blue.

Please give your opinions on anything else at the Motorshow! I'd love to hear from you all!

The whole reason they put the XR6 T motor in there is because the V8 wont fit

I don't think this year's show was different enough from last years...but hey thats just my opinion.

Really? I never knew that was the reason...I thought it would be more of an attack against Holden and HSV's higher powered AWD vehicles. Surely they could make a V8 fit? But then again, with the price of fuel these days...I dunno if it would be worth their while to 'make it fit' lol. The demand for V8 probably wouldn't be enough to start production of a modified body to fit a V8. I could be totally wrong though...sometimes petrol prices aren't enough to keep people away from the big 8.

Imagine a 290kW BOSS 5.4 Territory GT.... :D

A v8 WILL fit. Cappa have proven that, and to add insult to ford, they even got cheeky and supercharged it.
