a friend of mine is selling his EL XR8

it has 36 000km on the clock.
White in color
has the 15 inch wheels
it now has an AU XR8 5L, that has had a full rebuild with all ACL race parts.
ported GT40P? (what ever the factory heads are on AUs) explorer intake with 75mm TB and large crane cam.
duel 2.5inch mendrel bent exhaust. The plan was 400hp N/A then add 100hp of nitrous

the auto has been ditched in favour of an older 4 speed auto that has been rebuilt and tricked, high stall converter.

the reason for sale is when he started the build he was given a bit of wrong info and the engine ended up not being able to run on the stock ECU.
he has no money left and can afford to finnish it off. so he is selling it to buy a new XR8 or XR6T.

he only wants $13 500

the car does need an aftermarket ECU and tunning.

if any one is interested the car is in townsville and i can get more info on exact specs if you would like them

he doesn't have the money for one no... but selling this and a loan will get a new car. do you have a problem with that.? he's already pumped what would cost the average person over 10 000 into the car and he's sick of spending money on it.

Why wont it run on the EECV. I have gone reasonably bezerk on my XR8 and it runs great on the stock ECU?
I mean alloy heads, different inlet, injectors, T/B, cam, MAF......everything....

becuase the degree of 'every thing' is different it basicly has a cam that to big for the eec to run right. it pings quite badly above 3000rpm.

Thread cleaned up, please if you would like to discuss the EECV issue etc start a topic in the ECU & Fuel Forum.
