i have just got 2 x 12w3v2 JL Audio subs off the net and was wondering which was ppl have mounted there subs in the boot for the best results, subs will run off a petagon shaped 500w rms mono block amp...

is that one of the funny shaped sony mono amps ?

As far as wheres the best place to mount i dont think its really been thoroughly tested....i think aaron (pyroay) had done some comparrisons might be worth flicken him a pm cause in this case a search would be a pain.

I think more can be gained by having them firing into the cabin but i guess that just that u "hear" them being louder and deeper because theyre closer to your ears and the sound waves have less distance to travle to get to u etc

Have my JL sub firing to the rear placed in centre of boot, have pic in gallery.
Found if sitting to the front of boot or firing forwards the bass drops off . So i guees the current position is the sweet spot for my set up. It just takes some experimenting with different positions with a test CD.
