Hi all,
I've just been quoted over $650 for the following which I think is a bit steep from Pedders;
Front (30mm) & Rear (24mm) sway bars as well as the pin bushes front & rear, all installed.
I've seen on some threads here that people are paying well under $200 for their bars?
My front bar currently is a 27mm and rear is a 22mm, will the 3 and 2mm increase in size make a noticeable change you think?
thanks.

Yeah quite a noticable difference particularly if combined with lower springs and good sports shocks :D

i got the lot done about 6 months ago, but bars are needed as the corners arent too good in regards to rolling, got a price from ford for el gt sway bars, $125 for front and back combined! back is standard size though, they couldn't tell me what size the front was however?

i think i'll try another ford place!
this guy at ford said the rear is just a standard bar on the gt's, $50, front is $73?
How is your 28mm front bar uglybob? a decent improvement for your body roll?
does that mean 30mm i got quoted be a touch better or it doesn't work that way?
Pedders said that any bigger than 30 & 24mm is likely to cause problems?

30mm front and 24mm is plenty. I thought of going bigger but then I spoke to WA suspension centre and they dont recommend going bigger. Any bigger on the back it will oversteer too much.

I was quoted $520 for Whiteline front and rear swaybars fitted.

I've heard from DiscoFrank that its quite easy to fit yourself.

did you notice a reduction in body roll timmeh?
maybe just the pedders name bumps the cost up?
the bushes are $76 so that at least gives a similar cost when you add it to the whiteline quote.
I'll get a quote from them tomorrow and compare.

The Whiteline ones come with new bushes.

I didnt get it done I just went and talked to the professionals first.

I was thinking of ordering the kit from Whiteline and doing it myself.

i think it would be straight forward when the cars up on a hoist, easy way is pay the $110 labour and get it done.

It ain't even worth $110.
Swaybars are easy as f**k to fit.
I've got whiteline 27mm front, and 24mm rear.
I paid $129 for the front, and $169 for the rear, ordered via Autobarn.
They are supposed to come with all the rubbers, but I only got the D shackles rubbers and one set of swaybar link bushes.
Another set of 'Nolathane' brand swaybar link bushes was under $20, also from Autobarn.
Fitting time is hard to judge cause I had all suspension and diff out at the same time, but I'd say easily achievable in 2 hours at the most, with time for drinks breaks.
The only special things to note is to use (supplied by Whiteline) lithium grease on the faces of all Polyurethane bushes, and to tighten them when the vehicle is at 'normal ride height', ie. on the ground.
Also don't tighten them so tight that the bushes deform.
Hope that helps.
