looking at gettin a new throttle cable and cruise control cable, the old ones look all crap because the heat from the exhaust has melted the plastic.
how hard are they to replace?

not sure on the EF, but i've done one on the old KB laser we had. that was easy to do! just look at how the original one comes out and put the new one in the same way!
From memory we disconnected the cable from the accelerator pedal, carby, removed from any clips and finally removed it from the firewall. Can't imagine it being much different.

Dont know how hard the cables are to replace but mine were in the same condition. Ended up cutting some larger vacum pipe down one side and it slipped straight over the cables. Been on there a couple of months now and the heat hasn't affected it, and thats with extractors.

Easiest way to change the throttle cable is to unbolt the pedal from the floor and pull the whole lot thru the firewall, swap the cables and refit.
