i just bought some ef xr seats to put into my eb gli, now i want some door trims to match. i know the xr's have front power windows so i cant get xr trims. i want something similiar, not too fussed about the exact fabric as the seats. like a grey velour will do although i want front map pockets and they have to be for manual windows. any ideas? how about futura, do they have pockets??

yer, futura and above all had map pockets. GLi did not!

futura's only had pwr windows in front. Not sure on the finer details of the material though...

do you mean the fabric on the trims, or the colour of the trims themselves? the fabric on the trims wont match the seats - the pattern is designed to match. as for the map pocket holders, you can separate these from the door trims at all i dont believe. the futura trims have armrests in the front, due to the fact they have electrics. there will not be a hole left in the fabric though if you change to manual winders, as there is no actual switch on the door...

hehe hopefully that all makes sense! i have futura trims here, so if you need any mroe q's, just ask!

EF Futura door trims are gray in colour and are pretty much the same as a GLi. Remember, both Futura and GLi have map holders and Futuras have power windows in the front (which is what bob is trying to say I think)

I do not think they will match with XR seats.

Gli's, as happy said, didn't come with map-pocket holders - and you cant swap them over either. as said, i can take piccys if you want. the trims on the futura doors (i.e the fabric pattern) will not match the seats - only the XR's will - as each door trim was made specific to the seats. hence i have thrown in a DF LTD interior into mine, so have had to swap the padding on the doors over.

just sell the ef xr seats to someone with a ef (i think twrx??) in tassie is looking for a pair. and buy a set of REAL xr seats like the EB-ED XR had and then you can use the orig. door trims aswell.

Just re-trim your current trims, easy!

thanks guys you have been VERY helpful! yeah i would have preffered to buy ed xr ones although i have been searching for a while and none have come up, and the ones that do get snapped up quite quickly. i have to admit though the ef xr seats are just as comfortable as the ed ones, although they dont look as good. i looked into some el gli's today and saw what i wanted. they have map pockets, no power windows and have the simple dark grey door trim. it will look ok i think. then later (if this is possible) if i find some ef xr door trims i will swap just the fabric cushion part. or if possible (i know it is with mitsubishi) i might check out ford to see if they just sell the actual fabric. oh and how much would i be looking at for just the door trims with the handles and window winders? i paid $350 for just the xr seats :? top condition though.
cheers guys!
