What is ER Test in the EEC-V Diagnostic?
Quote: 538 Operator did not goose ER test requires that the operator briefly open the throttle fully

Engine Run.
A comma may help you understand the fault code description. 538 operator did not goose, ER test ..... etc etc You have to 'goose' the throttle (snap to over half way) and turn the steering wheel to test the Power Steering Pressure Switch during the Engine Running self test.

You might find that if you don't turn the steering during self test that you will get Power Steering Switch fault code thats all.

I'm not sure what the I6 needs a goose for?? I know you goose the V8 towards the end of the test to initiate the cylinder balance test... but the I6 isnt capable of doing these?
Must just test TPS or MAP or something...
