Just wandering what weight your trolley jacks are rated at that you use for your e-series?
Im thinking of getting a 1650kg trolley jack and 2000kg axle stands (that i can get cheap as from work ), could i use this safely with my EF or should i go for a jack thats rated above 1650kg?

lol i jacked up a mates car using the standard scissor jack, biggest piece of s**t ive ever used. It completely buckled and would lift the car high enough.
Ive got a 2500 jack and 2000 stands, no problems. I consider it overkill for falcons. Remember what ever your jack is rated at it will do at least another 500 kg with out a problem

If you can stretch the budget try and find yourself a "long reaching" trolley jack. Biggest problem with standard ones is not so much their capacity but how long the trolley is. A short trolley and you can't reach the front cross member and have enough clearance to pump the handle. Same at the rear.
I regret buying mine. I find I have to jack up the car from near each wheel first.
