Hi all, my first post here so dont be abusive :)

I have a 1999 au1 fairmont, im after a leather steering wheel for it and also a leather gearshift (or something different to the rubber one) I can always get a ghia wheel which im sure are leather.
what are the ones on ebay like? the ones with the colored inserts that are around 200.
do the accommodate the cruise and radio switches correctly?
what do other au owners here have?

thanks
andrew

ps whats an au 5L motor worth these days?

have a look here

www.ftgautosalvage.com.au

they sponser the site, they give great discounts and have a huge variety

they have the original steering wheels u are looking for, for $200. the ones on Ebay are not the best IMO as the colours dont match to the falcons interior colour.

all ur cruise and radio buttons will fit on sweet as.

there are a few different wheels you can get xr and ghia are leather, you can get the momo option stuff, theres a website that seel them and the shifters at a good price cant think off the top of my head though. someone will come up with it.

the svo wheels on ebay arent bad from what ive heard and ure cruise buttons and airbag and all that will fit in nice and snug.

AU 5.0L V8's will vary on prive depending on age and power but a 5.0L out of any au1 with fairly low k's i imagine will set you back probably around 2k without bolt on's. price goes up depending on what motor it is a 220kw series 3 xr8 motor would prob be the go, prob be over 3k i would imagine though
