today my water pump let go and p****d coolant everywhere, i have been meaning to replace it, anyways while i was doin the pump i p****d off the clutch fan and replace it with two 12" thermo's after installing the pump and fans, i took it for a test drive only to find the fans are making a pulsating vibration the whole way throgh the car, its like having a really good subwofer turned down low, any idea's, could i stop this or do you think the fans are dodgy?

Did you use EF fans or something? How are they mounted?

If they went into something with, say, an eb style radiator, the rad will be missing the bottom guide slots, and they'll just be slapping around.

don't waste time with aftermarket crap. Just get some EL thermo's. Easy!!

yeah i'll second that.
i got 2x 12 inch fans made by some no-name brand and they couldn't keep my ute cool even on a cool winters night.
the twin au thermos i got now work a treat on a hot summers day. it could be better if i got a bigger radiator, but it's doing the job.

I've been told my a few auto joints that the thermos you buy are "assistance fans". To assist your clutch fan for better cooling.

If you want to lose the clutch fan, then factory thermos are the only way to go. They have a larger pitch on the blades or something to flow more air. This was when I was looking at pissing off the flexi fan on my clevo and replacing it with thermos.
