doesn't make a difference? Are you running on LPG or something? Driving style doesn't effect my LPG consumption. But on petrol you can watch the gauge go down if you boot it around... 390km's is pretty crap, 450km's is what I get town drivng in the EB Fairy.

Na i use Shell unleaded. I drove through a tank of petrol tryin not to exceed 2500rpm and still only got around 390kms then flogged it with a full tank and got around the same amount. What could the problem be?

What terrain are you driving in? I get 380km out of a tank of LPG and that's in hilly terrain. I worked out from the trip computer that driving in hilly terrain uses up to 30% more fuel than driving the same distance on flat road.
Other thing that can affect fuel economy: Air filter Spark plugs/leads Tyre pressures Engine/Gearbox oil Short trips Wheel alignment Not all of those will make a big improvement. In fact some things you might be lucky to see any appreciable difference, but add them all up and you might get 50km a tank more.... assuming those things listed above are in need of attention. |
