Guys.
ive been having some idling probs with my car.
have replaced spark plugs, leads, fuel filter & serviced car.
my mechanic has check o2 sensor map sensor etc still cant find wtf is wrong. it idles at times well and at times its horrible.
We got it scanned by an auto elec and he recomended that the ecu be recalabrated and check the bcm which ford does.
i have made a booking for next friday with bayford for them to assess and give me a report.
im lookin at possible new ecu or bcm?
car is a auII XR6.
Any1 experinece this or have any knowledge ???
thanks

Im having the similar issues with my au series 1. But mine spits and misses when its hot. Duhig ford checked it on the computer but could not find anything. with the sensors. All they could tell me that the car was idling a bit lower that usual ............

Keep us updated on what they say

common response from ford, they're useless at these "hard to find" little problems!
I've been to more than one ford place to try and get my idle problem fixed, but they always come up empty!
Best off just changing one thing at a time until you get it.

Thanks i will keep all in touch with its progress.
what i ment by bad idle its wierd. it idles fine 95% of the time but the other 5% its really bad as if its choking and gets the shakes if that makes sense then itll sorta work itself out and idle fine then go threw same process and when its idling rough and i gas it it doesnt go as if its out of fuel then its kicks in...hmmm :?

bayfords...
checked and recoded ecu seems to be fine no dramas with the electronic side of things.
they also tested the fuel pressure etc which was fine and cleaned the t/b.
still cannot i.d the prob and they informed to bring the car next week over night so they can check it out the next morning when the engine is cold.
(which i think is b.s)
They informed it may be the injectors.
i think i may be leaving it is for the time being :/

mm my auxr6 has a rough idle

i changed plugs, leads, had injectors cleaned, new fuel filter, fuel pressure checked *tad high * readjusted etc
reset ecu numerous times now
still rough idle..
idle does smooth out when the fuel return line is clamped shut, this suggested low fuel pressure but was actually too high when checked

meh it dont bother me so i cbf fixing

all i can change now is the coil pack
