what i dont understand is why would police defect your car for having a pod style filter? I mean its only a filter, it doesnt create more polution and it isnt dangerous. what tight asses

Maybe you need to get an EL pipe setup with the pod filter on the end. I stuck a cheap one on just too see what it would do, and it was loud......Could hear it sucking etc.........
The loudest pod filters are those foam ones, that redline and unifilter make. And those cheap paper pod filters from Repco and Supercheap make alot more noise then oiled pod filters like K&N. At the drags last week and there are wrx's and skylines running these cheap a*** pod filters, so they must still flow as good. |

Personally i went for the flat panel filter because they work better

I have been told the reason they have to be boxed is because there is a danger of the pod ending up in the fan

I PUT A K&N POD FILTER ON MY EF BOXED AND DOESNT MAKE A NOISE.

yeah for starters, i got it for nuthen off a mate of mine, and im not after a rice look or anything, i just thought it would allow for better air flow than the stock snorkel and air box setup. plus i like the look of them unboxed.
i thought maybe i could have had a blockage that was restricting air flow, thats why i had no sound, but i guess the ef engine doesnt suck very much? ah well |
