amp makes tik bong noise when changing tracks, well the amp doesnt make the sounds, it comes out from the speakers, but ye, when i change tracks or turn the ignition off, it makes a noise as if negative and positive wires touch, but thats not the case, anyone know what the problem could be ? ¿

what HU do you have? common cause of noises like that is either interfereance or (more likely) a blown RCA earth in your HU from a n00b plugging in the RCA's (or unplugging them) while the HU and/or amp was turned on

a blown RCA earth in your HU, i see, would i be able to repair it my self or take it to a repairer ?

RCA earths are AFAIK a dealer thing, especially if its under warranty, anytime i have one crop up, i cheat, cut the end off an old RCA lead (leave a inch or two of cable), strip the outer insulation, peel back the braided outer shield, insulate the inner conductor, screw the braid onto the case using an existing screw, and plug the RCA into one of the spare RCA sockets

A faulty sheild on line lead would cause buzzing and poor signal quality, Id doubt thats your problem. Sounds more like an internal fault in the HU. Im not sure of how all the speakers are connected, If all 4 are connected to the amp try connecting directly to the HU if problem still persists and the HU is under warranty take it back. The popping sound your talking about is power related as though a small spike is being sent to the amp when changing tracks. If by any small chance it was a faulty RCA lead it would do it all the time even on the tuner.

i didnt say it was an RCA lead issue, i said it was an RCA earthing issue IN THE HEADUNIT

Well even lesser chance of it being an internal sheilding/grounding fault as it would do it either over every bump or on tuner/aux aswell.

sounds more like ur amps gain is set too high, they might be using high level inputs into line level so ur signal is coming in 'hot', ive seen this problem alot from shotty installers, reduce the gain and the problem goes away, try eliminating different objects, try diff rca's if u still have the problem ur rca's r fine, try a diff amp, if the problem stays then ur amps fine, try a diff hu, if the problem stays its not the hu, and obv when ever the problem leaves, u have found ur fault. then go about rectifying it, i got my money on ur gain levels tho

http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/forums ... opic=62022 http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/forums ... opic=55301 with the tuner on means there's no mechanical movement in the HU, and there's SFA electronic gagetry in the AM/FM tuner section burnt/blown RCA earth tracks/fuses arent affected by bumps a lack of alternator/ignition interfereance could just be a fluke that the suppressors are working fine

Have you checked the voltage to the HU when changing tracks? may be a drop in power as the tracks are changed causing a drop in the remote to power up the amp.
