Got a new heater tap to put in - any traps for young players, or is it as straightforward as it looks?
Im assuming the arrow on it points towards the heater core?

Arrow normally means flow from the head so yes it should point towards the heater core.

Wasnt too hard - the old unit was definitlyly buggered. Little valve wasnt opening all the way.
Hopefully the big ugly plastic unit ford gave me will last for ages....looks pretty indestructible. Word to the wise - use a cork to plug the raditor side of the heater hose while you are changing the tap. Stops your nice new green coolant flowing on your head.
