Maybe its the rubber seal thing around the door. I had a similar problem on my EF. The seal came loose at the bottom and when i went to shut the door it wouldnt shut properly and i had to give it a good (but gentle) slam.
I ended up just cutting off the part of the seal that was loose and now the door works fine.

Possibly adjust the striker - just make sure you draw a light pencil line around it first so you know where it was!

I actually have a similar problem. My passenger door was fine until one windy day a friend was getting out of the car and the wind nearly took the door off.

Ever since, it hasnt closed properly :(

I assume it just a matter of undoing the hinges and adjusting the door and tightening it back up. But it looks a biit tricky for me and I dont know who else would do it ?

In your case, chances are its bent the A pillar shell that that the hinges bolt into. That shell is pretty soft and bends easy.

It may just be that you need to pull the door towards the back of the car a bit. Or maybe get a panel beater to look at it. If its bent the metal, they can quickly pull it back into shape.
