can u plum the hose from a boost gauge into anywhere on the pipe that goes from the turbo to the t/body or is the side of the waste gate the only place you can?

Um... you want a reading which reflects the pressure in the manifold. So any vac hose coming from the manifold will do the trick - just not PCV or other which may have check valves etc.
Something like brake booster will do the trick, or the vac line you have used for the BOV.

tap into the wastegate and you'll see what the turbo sees. tap into the manifold and you'll see what the engine sees. very rarely is there no psi drop from turbo to motor.

ok thanks guys....its just that my waste gate is in a pretty awkward spot to get to easily....just thought there may hav been away around it.

So you finally have the turbo fitted up and running now trent?
Your dad told me about the ride you took him on, and F**k sounds like its gonna be a nice little package that has been fitted up.

lol did he?
just think that was when i couldnt go past half throtal and the bov was leaking.. just need a new bov spring or new bov .... coz the spring pressure is way to soft and is being pushed open when on boost. just a matter of cleaning up a few little things now |

nah dosent ...my old 1 used to but this 1 only has a fitting for the hose

don't run it from the wastegate hose if you're running a boost controller, or you will be seeing a modified reading
