I bought 2 spare right hand doors from an EL XR for $1 on ebay. How cheap is that? a dollar!! haha..
i dont need the doors, but for a dollar? I went and picked them up myself so i didnt have to pay postage either.

well actually i bought a few other things off him aswell, like a few spare interior parts. but it was all small cheap stuff.

Mine were all yellow so i followed the thread in here and cost me about $2 for the wet and dry paper, i finally used some Meguiar's fine cut cleaner. They look about 99% brand new, have some pics in my gallery.

Yeah I've been trying to do that to my headlights too but haven't had the time. Might give it a try tomorrow.

In reply to the first post.. I think with GLi models you do have to take off the front bumper to remove the lights, coz i was playing around with my lights today and i can't take them out unless i remove the bumper... unless of course i'm not doing it right.. :?
Is there anyone out there with a GLi model who's removed their lights without having to take off the bumper??

ok i went to take the front off and i had trouble with getting the indicators out, ive snapped one in the process. How do i get the indicator out? Im taking the front off as directed by the EF/EL XR Conversion technical document.

STEP ONE

Open up the hood. :shock:

STEP TWO

Pull up this black plasticy thingy....

STEP THREE

Undo this screw...

Image


STEP FOUR

Position hand firmly on indicator as indicated in diagram (Smacking indicator not recommended...)

STEP FIVE

Pull off indicator as shown...

And bob's your sister, the indicator's off! :D
