i pu the windows in my car yesterday, it was a pretty full on job, i used a fairmont wiring loom but cause my car is on gas i would have had to take the the tank out in order to run the wires all the way through to the boot, so i just chopped my loom and connected it with the fairmont one from that point. its a job you would want to do with a freind put it that way!
anyways all works fine except for the passenger rear window. it goes up with the rear switch but doesnt go down, when i earth the blue/green wire it goes up and down perfectly, but then the console switch only allows it to go down. when i connect the blue/green wire to the yellow/purple wire at the connector it also works fine from the switch but then it wont work at all from the console. any suggestions on how to fix this problem? ive tried pretty much every alternative with the wires by earthing, connecting things together and nothing would work. so any ideas?? thanks guys.

have u considered the possibility that the switch could be broken? if the door switch is broken, it is possible it will also affect the operation of the front switch

Have you used one of those "Closed circuit testers"
which light up when theres a current and stay dark when u messed up the wiring? $2 bucks from the Warehouse...

test the switch with a multimeter...that will show if the switch is buggered...if it is, take it apart and clean the contatcts, that is usually the problem....

my problem was from the blue/red wire, it was disconnected somewhere in the loom, so i just re connected it from the door switch to the console.
im not very happy with the so called 'kit' i bought off here though, apparently all regulaotrs were genuine and all 'working'. two regulaotrs did not work (one genuine and one non genuine) what so ever, and two where non genuine. now the other non genuine one stopped going up so out of the 'complete' kit i bought i bought i ended up having to buy 3 regulators... not happy.

nah won't be that - it disables the windows completely, not only one way..

it'll be the switch most likely, clean the contacts with a wire brush (on the switch that doesn't work)
