hi need lots of help
i cant find the wires for the cd stacker in my 1998 fairmont.i have a ford cd stacker from a el fairmont ghia and my auto electrician told me only ghias came with wiring.the head unit is a mid system with cd button. . cheers jim |

it is an extra cable which runs from the head unit to the stacker in the boot - it is not part of the body loom.

Is it a genuine Ford stacker or is an Alpine stacker? Also if the car is a '98 model it won't be an Ef.....

the stacker is a gen ford from a 1998 el fairmont ghia.one of my work mates says i should sell the lot on ebay and install a mp3 player.i would like to keep it all gen ford if i can.

The wiring for the factory stackers is just made up of ordinardy light duty automotive wire unlike the Alpine units which use a sheilded circular cable which imho is much better then the Ford ones. I have a harness here if you want the pinouts to make your own, the plugs should be available at an decent auto electrical supplier.
