is just doing the front worth it ... is there a noticable difference ?

understeer, less front body roll, very noticable difference but worth upgrading your rear to at least an xr swaybar

NO a front swaybar increase encourages MORE understeer,

a bigger REAR swaybar give more OVERSTEER

Both decrease lateral grip (yes less grip) but also decrease body roll and make the car better handling and more controlable is selected right

Strictly speaking, that is correct.
But practically it doesn't always work out this way.
Whiteline put a rex on the skid pan, and measured max lateral G's.
Doing the 'slowly increase speed while driving round a circle' thing.
Swaybar equipped car showed much higher lateral grip.
