some of u might know that i bought an EL from an auction in vic and i took out all the seats from the car so i can wire my car up for my system........i finished the sound system and now cleaning the seats.

i never knew that it is such a hard job. i borrowed one of those carpet cleaners that have soapy water running through the nozzle and cleans and sucks as u go but that didnt get all of the dirt out. so i had to get a scrubber, a white towel and a bucket of soapy water to get the dirt out. took me 20 mins to get most of the dust deposit on one corner of the seats. thats damn hard labour and the water go all black. gotta change the water every time i do a corner.

if anyone knows how to clean the seats easier please tell me cause i still gotta finish one seat and another one passenger and the rear row of seats........

i just put my seats back in after heavy cleaning. but there seems to be a bit of a problem............i think.

before i took the seats out, the seats didnt wobble back and forth much when u pushed it back and forth holding the headrest.. but now they wobble a little bit more.......was wondering how i can fix this? and i think its illegal to have them wobbling too much?

The best way to clean interior fabrics IMHO is to use a dab of white sprits (dry cleaning fluid) on a rag - and rub the offending marks. Do a test spot first, but it worked a treat for me! Apparantly its an old car detailers trick.

Ive got the Futura fabric though - not that fancy fairmont velour, so keep that in mind. ALWAYS DO TEST SPOT FIRST!

yeah when i was cleaning it the water was filthy.......literally black with sand and dirt residue on the bottom.......i was amazed of how dirty it was.

does anyone know why the seats wobble? cause when i reinstalled them the seats wobbled more when u push it back and forth on the back rest. and how do i fix it?

check your bolts are done up on the upright seat section.

also you wont get your seat truly clean as the dirt has seeped into the foam seat padding
