Ok i am getting a new cam installed in my EL fairmont, and i have read that people have changed their "hydraulic lash adjuster retainers" when they fit the extra shim.
now i just rang ford and they have no idea what i am talking about.
they tried to sell me a whole lifter?
do i not need them with an EL... or could the guy at ford not see them on the computer? or am i just an idiot... and using the wrong name or something stupid?
or do i just go to repco?
Help... Thanks :?

Yeah I don't think ford really stock them. Repco/Bursons etc do. They don't cost much and are sometimes called a 'lifter repair kit'.
They are just little 'O' shaped seals.
