gday,
recently did a changeover on my gearbox as the old one was shagged, and now the new gearbox seems to be leaking fluid around the yoke (where the tailshaft slips into the gearbox) I did overfil it at first, it gushed out and now it just slowly leaks out when I stop the car, is this just a failsafe by ford to prevent overfilling or is there somthing wrong? ONly problem being it somehow gets onto the cat convertor and smoke billows out the bottom of the car when I turn it off as the fluid is burnin away!

Its a transmission specialist job I would think to replace it.
