Sorry guys, but the vents on an EF XR will NOT expell any air. If they did it would be two thirds of sweet F**k all...
Trust me

As weve already established the genuine Tickford ones don't do much, but there's no doubting aftermarket ones that are just covering a hole will do a fair job!

thats the reason why i would like them!

not to let air in, but to let the hot air rise and escape out them.

altho on a fairmont bonner may be difficult

johno (SVO XR6) noticed a 2-3oC temp drop via his EMS after fitting the twin seq scoops, if that makes any difference to the argument! :)

Yeah cool. That's what I was on about, the geniune Tickford ones. I have them (of course :)) on my XR6 and I've studied them and there is no way they will vent air without some cutting...

Aftermarket ones on the other hand.....

so would probably provide a decent drop in under bonnet temps id guess. wonder how much effect the standard aftermarket replicas would provide.. hmm. wonder if they would suit a fairmont bonnet.
