Hi all i have a 04 ba xr6 and recently my mirror got smashed a bit. Got my ford dealer to replace it but am now stuck with on green mirror and on black.

I still have the green bit from my previous mirror and was hoping you could help me as i would just like to put the already painted old part onto the new mirror they gave me.

Any help on how to dissasemble the mirrors would be greatly appreciated

There should be a screw underneath that can detach the painted part, then just swap em around

nup... AU/BA mirrors clip out. Theres a scalp for them.

Press in on one side of the mirror glass so you can see the clips behind. I think theres 2 or 3 clips, just use a flat head screw driver to pry them back and the back of the mirror will pop off quite easily. You might need a torch to see the clips but.

Yep Glenn... there is 3 clips. 2 on one end and one on the other. Old butter knife works even better.
