I have a bit of a question about my brakes.

I put on some DBA slotted's and bendix advance pads not too long ago and it got rid of my steering wheel shudder, and it brakes a lot better now but I have one problem.

The inside of the rotor, IE close to the hub is not being used it seems. It is getting a light layer of rust, and has none of the scoring or fresh look of the rest of the rotor. I can clearly see that the pads cover this area, so why isn't it being bitten into?

I am going to pull the calipers off and have a look soon, so what should I be looking for that would cause this? It does it on both sides.

Cheers.

Clean and lubricate your caliper slides.. they're probably ceased inside the caliper.

had the same problem when i did the disks and pads, most likely the top caliper slides are jammed, clean the boot is well, and some ultra fine sand paper if the slides are being b**ch.
