hi guys

im curious does the snorkle catch air when driving at speeds or does it just allow the engine to suck air from above the radiator.

its just that there isnt much of a gap between the snorkle and the bonet and i cant really see how air could be forced into it..

what do you guys think?????

it would if there was a direct air flow, but its pretty turbulent flowing through the gap of the bonnet and the radiator support, however air pressure through the smaller gap can increase air velocity.

theoretically it can catch more air at speed but alot of people will argue the point.

I would say it has more to do with sucking air into the airbox. When you car's running try and seal the snorkel with one or both of your hands, you actually feel a slight sucking pressue even at idle.

yea thats what i thought. i couldnt see how the air could be forced into the snorkle when there is minimum gap for air flow..

thanks guys
