Can anyone help?

I am in South East Melbourne.

I feel i am getting ripped off by my local mechanic.

Can anyone suggest a good reliable mechanic around my area.

Cheers
Scott

oh he doesnt charge nothing like the mechanic do, he would do it for what ever it cost for part or what not and a little bit extra jsut for the work, nothing huge.

Well

I have a list of things from my mechanic which he said i needed fixing and it was going to cost $2500

Things like

Front struts
Front lower inner control arm brushes
R/H steering rack end
Camber Kit
Front end Alignment

I have had the car 10 months and so far this is what is wrong (Plus more).
The front right hand tyre was new 10 months ago and now the steel is poking through on the inside of the tyre.

Any thoughts?

Thanks heaps

I just want to know what it will cost and weather i was being ripped off or not

There were plenty of other things that needed fixing as well that was included in the $2500.

He told me to fix my front end will cost $1500 including 4 new tyres.

Thanks for your help

to tell u the truth he could get thoses parts for about $500 and the rest is labour.

dad can get the parts cheap and way less labour, if it cost 2500 from him it woudl cost 1000 from my dad.

I would be going to a proper suspension joint to get that stuff fixed, in my experience general mechanics dont do it as well the guys who spend all day on this stuff.

Whats the other stuff that needs doing?

that's classic. all that stuff is dead easy to fix and cheap. then just need a full set up by a competent suspension place. I recommend Precision Automotive in braeside as an expert mechanic workshop who is reasonably priced
