Hey guys my old man is having troubles with his ba climate control system as the topic states. The symtoms are; when he first starts the car, the icon of the car on the tft display flashes three times and the internal fan won't work and neither will the aic con also none of the climate control buttons will opperate as they normally do.

hmm i'd take it back to a dealer.

The BEM controls most of these functions - it's a computer that sits within the ICC. If things are not working then the dealer is going to need to hookup a diagnostics tool to read the DTC codes and find out what's wrong with the unit.

There's not much can be done if you don't have a scantool and a workshop manual I'm afraid.
