As promised, here is a pic of the new door pods in the EL. Still to be done is remove the old tweeter from the kick panel, and put in new kics. They are 3 way clarion splits, the kevlar cone models, and sound bloody sweet! Let me know what you think.

The wood piece is there to tie the pods into the Ghia trim. Its acually a pretty close match in terms of colour, jus the camera flash didnt help.

Pod looks good.
Did you sound deaden the doors, I found that made a HUGE difference with the DYn’s and DLS 8â€￾ midbasses.

Also did you try the tweeter on the A-Pilar? I have found it works best in that location and I had a 3 way front stage installed very similar with mid in the factory locations angled, midbass in the kickpanel (in your case the door) and tweeter in the A-pilar.

Have you thought about colour coding the wood piece in the door and the door trim?
I painted Lisa’s one’s to match the car and IMO looked a lot better. I guess if you like the woodgrain then that’s cool.

Im thinking about making up new top door trims, as I dont really want to paint the genuine wooden ones. Dont know though how it would look in white. Been thinking about high gloss black though.....

Still got em, but now have a grey fairmont interior. Was thinking black to match the dash surround.

I got a better idea. Go to auto pro and you can get change colour paint packs for like $100.Could redo the dash and the trims? Got three different colour combos as well.
