Give your starter motor solenoid a couple of taps with a hammer or something hard, she should start after that

Sounds like your battery may have dropped a cell. You will probably need a new one.

You should still be able to push start the car or jump start it tho?

Your fan will not necessarily turn with your friends plan. It will be a viscous hub which is only designed to turn when the car is at operating temperature.

batterys have a funny habit of dieing all of a sudden... has happend to me a few times when the battery i have been using has just refused to hold a charge when "being charged" n would not start the car even with the "hot water trick"... sceptical to that working either...

your engine can't just seize overnight unless it was deprived of oil when you were driving it, your car should warn you in any case with a beep or light on your dash

have you had these problems before where it clicks but does'nt turn over? (eg: click, click, click, crank)

if the above happens you might have warn out contacts on your starter motor

i think a few people have told you to invest in a new starter motor... i would also agree.

before buying a new battery borrow someones and try theres first.

ur motor cant have siezed unless u drove it without oil and ignored all the warning signs!!

where is the clicking coming from?
if its from the starter, but it dosen't crank, you can pretty much bet the starter is stuffed.
they're not that dear for the falcon 6cyl.

another trick to do is to put power from the battery to the small wire on the starter (key terminal) and see if it'll crank over.
i wouldn't do this with the key on ignition if you're under there, cause it'll start up if the starter is ok.
