Hi guys my 96 Fairlane has started changing gears after putting the foot down,The tree lights on the dash go from D to R then 2-3 and R and the trannie is changing back to second by the feel of it then back into drive,If i pull over and stop and start off again its fine untill i boot it,mainly only seems to get worse after 90-100 ks.Have had the trans serviced and checked and cant find the problem..
Any ideas or others with this Problem

i had round about the same problem with my EB ghia (you know the digital pic of the car on the eb ghia dashs shows you which dors were open and stuff) each time i put my fott down a little dors on the digital screen would start opening and closing and was messing round with the gears in the tranny and didn't drive propley, found it was a bad earth.

mine was the batt terminals and everything connected to them, after messing round it that for a while it went away, just had to make sure everything was connected and i made em all tighter.

don't know if it's same problem, but worth a try.

i had a similiar problem after putting on my roller rockers..i forgot to plug the one of the throttle position sensor plugs on the throttle body back in....

Could be time for a T5
