Is it necisary to tune a car with EFI?

Because i was under the impression that car's with EFI, don't ever need to be tuned because the ECU keeps the car in tune, as it doesnt have a carby to adjust.

Because I've just got my car back from getting a few things fixed on it, and It really seems to be starting alot rougher and idling pretty rough, since my head and lifters have been changed.

There is nothing to tune.

Nothing to tune as such, but plenty to do from a maintenance perspective.

A fuel injection system is exactly that - a system. Takes input variables (takes these at face value), processes the data and outputs variables (fuel injection, spark timing).

So really, just need to make sure all sensors (inputs) and injection/ignition (outputs) are working ok.

I reckon the communication between the sensors and the EEC is a bit like chinese whispers.

if they disconnected the battery, this could be the reason for a rough idle, as the computer resets itself.
try running it on premium, i notice some cars fire and run better with premium.
