Can anyone suggest a good way to attach my front spoiler?

I was told it was put on with pop-rivets. I was thinking either rivets or some kind of adhesive, or a combination.

I want it to look as nice & straight as possible

Pop rivets are strong, and only a keen eye will spot them (if colour coded correctly)

Secondly, what do you drive? What sort of spoiler do you plan on attatching?

Not knowing what sort of spoiler it is, it's hard to be definitive, but I'd keep away from rivets. If you ever have to take it off (and that's more than possible) you may find rivets will spin when you try and drill them out., and make a bigger hole.
Self tappers, if you drill the right sized hole, should be fine and are easy to unscrew.

I drive a 91 EB Fairmont V8 (Le mans red). It has a body kit on it, although I have no idea what type it is, or what it's known as. I will get a pic of the front spoiler asap. I was thinking rivets because they would be less obvious and any part that does show I could colour code.

Self tappers are a good idea, especially if I have to remove the spoiler again (more than likely). Cable ties would be a quick fix, but am looking for a more permanent solution.

Without seeing the car its a bit hard to offer excellent advise.

Have you thought about sikaflex'ing it on ? Bugger screwing it up by drilling it. (Unless it needs it, and they are all drilled on?)
