Easier to unplug the fuel pump's wiring IMO. Or if it hasnt been run for, say, overnight, fuel pressure should have subsided.
Fuel filter... vice grips

isnt there a relay under the coolant tank. not sure which of the 3 tho. You take out the fuel pump relay and start the car to release the pressure, even after all that u will still have fuel come out of the lines after removing the filter.

yeah cheers guys, all done.
But i couldnt get to the fuel pump, as i was told it was in the boot under a little panel, panel was glued down, so.... I just cracked the lines with pressure still there, and itell ya what petrol in the eyes stings like a b**ch. I mangled one of the nuts on the fuel line with the vice grips, she was as tight as all f**k, still factory filter, in in the process of mangleing the nut, i twisted the fuel lines, well bent them anyways, u have no idea how tight they were, stupidly tight. but all done now, hopefully it fixes my start up problems i have been having.
