just seeing what low-profile/fat tyres you guys are running on your 16" rims - specifically 16x7's i think these ones are... looking for an idea on profile/brand/price cheers!

Simex something or rather is 225/50.
Pretty nice, not noisy, and they've lasted about fitty thousand km's... A miracle considering how I drive. But my first choice is Dunlop SP3000s. Up there as one of the better 225/50R16 tires IMO.

225/50 is the generally accepted standard, yeah. Skinnier, like 215, and it's not as grippy, wider, like 235 (even available in 16?) and you get too much sidewall flex. I bump mine up to like 38-40psi, and they're good.

i run 225/50's front and back, i usually get used rear tyres as they just end up the same, $70 pair fitted isnt to bad usually last 1.5>2 months. my rears usually run like 32psi fronts around 38psi
i got a price awhile ago for wide 235/245 16 they do exist but they cost heaps i cant remember how much. neway heres a pic of 225/50/16 the fronts were worn a bit (not on car nemore) |
